About the Las Vegas Euchreplayers Association:
The Las Vegas Euchreplayers Association is a non- profit group that promotes the growth of a friendly card game (Euchre) in the Las Vegas valley.
We organize tournaments that assemble at specified taverns in Las Vegas. Although a player may join our Association by paying an annual membership fee, it is not required in order to participate in the large majority of our tournaments.
At the current time, we operate 3 or 4 "Vegas round-robin" tournaments rules at various locations and days and one "partners" tournament rules each month on a Saturday night. Anyone of legal drinking age who has $15 and the ability to play their own cards is welcome to join in.
Five or six rounds are played in both types of tournaments (which average around 3 hours in length). We work hard to ensure that our game has the "at-home" feel.
Our players are requested not to smoke at the table during a game, but our venue is usually held in a smoke-friendly tavern. In order to participate in one of our tournaments, a player should expect cigarette smoke to be present unless otherwise stated.

For the small fee of $5, a player can become a member from January 1st (or the date that they pay the fee), until the end of December. Membership entitles a player to be ranked ranking system. The top players of the Spring (Jan. - April), Summer (May - Aug.) and Fall (Sept. - Dec.) sessions are awarded an engraved plaque and an entry into our virtual Hall of Fame. The best performing player of the year receives an engraved trophy and the title "Las Vegas Euchre Champion" (plus the entry into the Hall).
In December, to close out the season, all of the members are invited to a party in which there are food and drink in addition to two tournaments with prize money that require no entry fee; "The Masters Euchre tournament" : the top 8 players play a 7-round true round-robin, and "The Lucky Eight": the members who aren't fortunate enough to get into the Masters are entered into a drawing to win a seat into the alternate round-robin.
